Dr Lina Pugliano is a trained medical oncologist. Specialising in the management of breast cancer, she is currently working clinically at both the Mater Hospital in North Sydney and The Northern Cancer Institute at St Leonards. Her passion is to provide support and aid for breast cancer patients. She is actively involved in clinical trials and is a member of the Australian New Zealand breast cancer trials groups (ANZBCTG) and participant of the ANZBCTG supportive care team.
Dr Lina received her medical training at the prestigious Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery, both obtained at the University of Sydney, accompanied by a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) received at the University of New South Wales.
Dr.Lina is committed to conducting research. Teaming up with international breast cancer research leaders, her research papers and talks can be found online. Dr. Lina is also affiliated with the University of Sydney, having taken on a teaching and research position. She continues her teaching position as lecturer. She has obtained an international fellowship by the Breast International Group (BIG) and Institute Jules Bordet, a leading oncological hospital in Brussels, Belgium between the years of 2011 and 2013.
Currently working at the Mater Hospital located in North Sydney and the Norther Cancer Institute at St Leonards, Dr Lina provides cancer care for patients, working collaboratively in the Mater Hospital and at the Norther Cancer Institute.
